Summary
Story of the American decendants of the Archer family of Elmton, Derbyshire, England. Descended from Daniel Archer who emigrated to America in early 1850, and after living in Wisconsin and traveling some 4,000 miles within several states, settled in Yolo County by purchasing a tract of land 10 miles west of the town of Woodland on Cache Creek, founding the town of Madison in 1875. Continues with the lineage of Daniel Archer through Levi Archer who died in 1917
