- In The Stubborn Memory, Julio Scherer García confronts some of the most important moments of his life. He is aided by sincerity, honesty, and a critical drive to inform and report-those tools he handles best. From a personal viewpoint that is neither "arrogant nor humble, vigorous nor aggressive, but always vulnerable," Julio Scherer García reports on his own memories, documenting them rigorously and judging them implacably. He refuses to forget the events and figures that have constructed Mexico's complex current reality, and this refusal also means continued exposure, denunciation and accusation: the ongoing presentation of irrefutable proof against those responsible for the institutional corruption that still characterizes our nation. In this sense, and in the words of the author himself, this is a book "written with all the anger in the world
